AIRCASTLE
We are a global company that acquires and leases high-utility commercial jet aircraft to passenger and cargo airlines throughout the world. High-utility aircraft are generally modern, operationally efficient jets with a large operator base and long useful lives. As of May 31, 2008 Aircastle had acquired and committed to acquire aviation assets having an aggregate purchase price equal to $4.3 billion and $1.3 billion, respectively, for a total of approximately $5.6 billion, including more than 100 passenger and cargo aircraft we own or are committed to acquire. We also make investments in other aviation assets, including debt securities secured by commercial jet aircraft.
Our business is managed by a team of aviation professionals with extensive industry experience. Through servicing offices in the US, Ireland and Singapore, we provide our airline customers with an exceptional level of service and our investors with global coverage and local market knowledge.
Aircastle employs a balanced approach to investment and capitalization, factoring in industry cyclicality and other global and regional market dynamics. We focus on a long-term investment horizon. Our diversified fleet includes Boeing and Airbus narrow and mid-body aircraft including both passenger and freighter applications.
Our professionals have extensive experience with aircraft finance, leasing and investment management, and possess deep technical knowledge of all aspects of aircraft asset management. In addition to our own investment activities, we offer third-party marketing and technical services and other asset management services to aircraft investors. We are also able to leverage our relationship with Fortress and its strong track record of successfully investing in and building asset based investment businesses to develop customized financing solutions for our clients. |
